Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-07 · Austral Macro (private beta)
Draft — pending review1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Austral Macro (the "Service") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as needed to run the beta.
2. Information we collect
- Contact and access details you provide through the request-access or demo forms — name, work email, firm and role, and any message you include.
- Account and usage state needed to run the terminal — your email (as your identity), and your saved board layout, favorites and settings so they follow your account across devices.
- Technical logs generated automatically, such as request metadata and, for the Data API, per-key usage for metering.
We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data, and we ask that you not submit them through the forms.
3. How we use it
- To provision and operate your account and demo trial.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and meter API usage.
- To respond to your access request and support enquiries.
- To understand and improve the Service in aggregate.
We use your details only to provide the Service. We do not sell your personal information and do not run marketing lists during the beta.
4. Cookies and anti-bot
We use strictly necessary storage (such as local storage and authentication cookies) to keep you signed in and remember your board. Access and forms may use a privacy-preserving anti-bot check (e.g. Cloudflare Turnstile). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
5. Processors and hosting
The Service runs on third-party infrastructure and tooling (for example cloud hosting, edge/CDN, database and anti-bot providers) that process data on our behalf under their respective terms. Underlying macro data is obtained from public official sources and is not personal data.
6. Retention
We keep contact and account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the beta and comply with legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
7. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and object to certain processing. To exercise these, contact us via the request-access form.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy; material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
9. Contact
Questions about privacy can be sent via the request-access form.
